The Kuskokwim Native Association offers many employment opportunities for those looking for seasonal work, internships, and full-time careers in fisheries biology.

High School Internship I
This is a one-week summer internship program open to students age 14-19. Students spend one week at either the George River Weir or the Tatlawiksuk River Weir learning about the Kuskokwim watershed and its fish through hands-on field activities and written work. After successfully completing the program, students receive a $250 stipend and can also qualify to meet state education standards needed for graduation. Learn more.
High School Internship II
This is a multiple week summer internship program is open to high school students that have completed the Internship I. Students spend two weeks or more at one of our weir camps while studying an advanced curriculum in fisheries science. The curriculum includes doing background research, designing and conducting environmental assessments and writing a formal lab report on one of the labs. This internship is more independent and allows students to experience being a fisheries technician. Learn more,
College Internship Program
This is a one to three month internship program open to college students, who are seeking a career in fisheries biology or related fields. Students work side-by-side with fisheries technicians and biologist on various fisheries projects throughout the Kuskokwim drainage. Learn more.
Technician Program
We hire 6-12 seasonal fisheries technicians each year. Technicians must be 18 years or older to apply, have a good work ethic, and be willing to work outside in a variety of weather conditions. Technicians work at various fisheries projects throughout the Kuskokwim drainage and get paid an hourly wage.
